My 1998 Glanza V (red) Td04l Forged Rebuild Progress

Recommended Posts

I have been a member on here long enough so its about time I finally got round to setting up my members garage page.

These are the pictures taken at the time when I purchased the car:

The car had came with CT9 Hybrid Turbo, Manifold, Decat, Blitz Nur Spec Exhaust, HKS SSQV , FMIC, JAM ECU, Apexi AVCR, Apexi SAFC NEO and Walbro Fuel pump so the car wasnt by any means slow :p

My long term plan was always to forge the engine and get the most out of the 4EFTE, so I set about collecting the parts straight away. Here is some pictures of what I have got my hands on so far:

I then decided that I was also going to need a few styling changes aswell. So I reached for my wallet again:

With the new set up I was planning, handling was also going to be very important so I invested in the following:

Update:

PHASE 1 BEGINS:

So work finally began on the car over the last few days. A big thanks goes to Dan for removing the engine from the car for me. All the lights have now been removed from the car - and will be replaced with new ones.

The rear has been stripped out, and I have removed the front bumper, rear bumper, sideskirts and spoiler. My bumper has also been sent of to Aidan@EPstyling to have the rea lip attached. The car is now ready to have the new body parts fitted and be fully resprayed in its original red colour. The engine will also be sent off to the engineers as my cruise headgasket has arrived this week :D

Thanks for moving the thread Enzo. I pay a lot of attention to detail alright. I would prefer to do it once and do it properly. I dont put many miles on it, but you can be sure I will once I finish :D I bought an AE86 Twin Cam a few weeks ago for my current everyday drive until this is finished. I miss boost! The armrest was done by Ecksjay on the forum, and his work is top notch. I just looking forward to getting the engine build underway and the parts fitted at this stage. If it comes out as well as yours I will be happy :D

Jesus christ mate, did you actually win the lottery or something? Thats bloddy awesome.

I love how you've not only covered pretty much everything, but you've sourced all these parts (nearly all of them brand new!) and looks like you are gonna put them on all in one go. I can't wait to see it when its all fitted, Spot On! :D
