id just rather be safe than sorry because if valve float does happen i cn end up wrecking the head and as there no too expensive to buy id rather fit some uprated ones if possible.. this is more the test build at the mo, in the future i plan on a fully forged engine with a 300+bhp aim :surrender:

The 5E isn;t as rev happy due to the max piston speed being exceeded lower down the rev range than a 4E. Also with the longer stroke the bearings can take a serious kicking if your reving to much. valve springs are the least you should be worried about :surrender:

IMO don't rev past 7500 and keep the stock springs. U wont need to go past 7500 anyway.

Well the 5EFHE revs quite high so I wouldn't worry about the bottom end either, it's not like it's revving 8-9-10k rpm, so I wouldn't worry about it aslong as you've got atleast 4EFTE valve springs.

The bottom end on a 5E won't take as much abuse at high rpm as a 4E but if your staying under 7500rpm she'll b grand.
