japcarmaniac Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 ive just got my starlet and filled it for the first time today and noticed that the surround around the petrol entry is realy badly corroded! the bit that the cap scres down on. anybody else had this problem? is it common? can it be fixed easly? If I were you i would take the filler neck out buff the rust off clean the panel around it paint the filler neck black. put it back togeather and grease everything up. I am doing this to mine once i can be bothered Quote

bucketep91 Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 just take it off from underneath, im sure 1 from a uk starlet would fit. Will stop you from misfueling too as the uk 1s have a skinny neck and tyhe diesel pump doesnt fit Quote
