ep_brad Posted October 19, 2009 Share Posted October 19, 2009 I havent put pictures of my car on here for ages ive had it for just over 6months nowHere's how it started off when i first got it.it stayed like this for a month or so then i ordered new alloys and lowering springsBefore:After:I started on the engine next painting the struct brace and rocker cover and also got myself a breather filterMy cat posing lolI ordered a Hdi front mount off dane and fitted that right away and fitted a hks air filterits true (honest)I then got a hks fcd and dails off a mate for £30 I then started on the engine i bought a sps manifold and decat (no pictures) also bought a buddy club rad capI then started taking the old manifold off etc and removing the airconStandard manifold had quite a big crackI got the turbo off and i was very happy there was no play in the shalf at all and there was no crack in the wastegate It sat like this for a few weeks because of work i ordered silcone pipe to relocate my hks filter to the front all fittedI won a few other item on the bay a cooling paneland bought some coversThe same mate i bought my fcd and dails off also bought this for when he had his starlet but never fitted it and was brand new in the box i got it for the sum of £200 it took me around an hour to fit and is working perfectly I then sold my inovit alloys as i didnt like having 16's anymore so i bought these speedlines off idrees (cheers mate)I then went to a local rr day and gave mine a run it made 166.9bhp at standard boostthis how it stands at the moment but all my sps manifold decat turbo etc will be up for sale soon as im getting a new manifold for external wastegate and im planning on using enzo td12 in the new year Quote Link to post Share on other sites

ep_brad Posted December 9, 2009 Author Share Posted December 9, 2009 i got myself some new parts over the past few weeks i got my new manifold and decat from zisco in the group buy pictures stolen from the advert as im lazyAlso got these gaskets off ebay cheap £19.48 for the pair delivered i just need the turbo to cat gasket now.Another ebay buy was this tial 38mm external wastegate from ebay usa for £164delivered quite a saving from the one for sale in the uk.then i got myself some 8mm Magnecor off a member Quote Link to post Share on other sites

I think the Speedlines look awesome on it, imagine it a touch lower - perfection. 166bhp on stock boost is a pretty awesome result too, good luck with the rest of the project mate. If anyone is thinking about getting one of these do it. It packs such a punch its unreal its worth every single penny.It also went into the bodyshop for a bit of work. The bonnet was dented and seen better days and the rear end was looking tired so i had it re-sprayedI didnt bother having the front bumper done in the end as i fancied a change.After having all that done the bottom end started knocking The oil return pipe spilt and it ran dry of oil The garage removed the sump and shells and found shell number 1 was slightly scored He said to order new bearing and see how it goes. I ordered acl bearing and he ended up polishing the crank and fitted the new shells. Ive done over a 1000miles now and everything is going good (touch wood)Here is a dyno print out after it went on the rolling road with the td12 fitted boosting at 0.7bar i was over the moon with it. It would of been a little bit more if the manifold gasket didnt started blowing.I ended up buying a mk1 front bumper off a member off here it was in a bit of a sorry state but i soon fixed it and im taking it down the bodyshop tomorrow I want it looking like this I havent drove the gt for nearly a week now because of this Quote Link to post Share on other sites
