riko666
You're not giving us much as what do you interpret as affordable? Quotes are going to differ for everyone as it depends on so many things - your best bet is to start searching on some of the comparison websites (Confused.com etc), then phoning the cheaper brokers to try and barter. Try calling Sky Insurance and Adrian Flux as they specialise in insurance for younger drivers/imports/modified cars and they are quite reasonably pricedRegardless, you're 18, so its not going to be "cheap" but if you shop around you may be able to get some good pricing, good luck

SR17
I did a quote the other day out of interest. A Gt for me being 18 with 1 years no claims under my mum would be £1400. At 19 (in a couple of months) with 2 years no claims it would drop to £850 soo that may help you out a bit mate
Steve GT
id say at 18 with 0 NCB there going to put the price up even on your mum and days insurance im pretty sure you'll be looking at more than 2 grand im guessing

Galliano
Really.. a turbo with no ncb means pull your pants down and bend over.I don't know if my mums friends insurance company are just anal, but they were requestion 3 grand to put her son (19, just learnt to drive) on her insurance as a named driver (she would be using the car more). She drives a Fiesta 1.1. Rip off. I'd say it would be a couple of grand easily with no ncb.
