its a straight bolt on mate,

it does have better flow properties over the standard fe manifold,

you will notice that the car will rev alot more easily and will find youself bouncing off the limiter more,

it also drasticaly changes the induction note.

i have two for sale in my shop if your interested in any.

its a inlet manifold paul. its supposed to be a great mod.

more acceleration

more induction kit sucking noise

more exhaust noise

i want one now myself.!!!

but is it just s straight bolt on fit guys?

does it need to be tapped and drilled? or is a all the connection points all ready on it?

suppose its just air so dont needa worry about leaks lol??

Straight on and off.....only thing which is different is the bottom bracket (can be thrown away = weight saving ftw) and the earth wire which needs to be bored out and bolted on.....no leaks, if your gasket breaks when taking the old mani off just use a light film of instant gasket as both surfaces wont be true (dont use the white crusty one if you put too much on it will break off and enter the engine)

just drill and tap a hole for the earth clip?

it could be hard to get off its at the back of the engine.

is the induction kit/cold air feed just a stright bolt on too?

What it is the earth lead has a hole for a 10mm bolt but the corolla mani accomodates a 12mm so the earth lead has to be bored out abit with a file and bolted on with a 12mm bolt....yup all stock air stuff goes back on

Try and get the top bracing from the rolla engine if you can. I put one on in place of the old one, as to be honest, it's silly to leave the mani completely unbraced, and the one that comes with the starlet doesnt match up.

And Sam, you're the first person to say 'cute little whine' :p

Asad, I kinda broke my earth lead doing that, the contacts snapped, so i just jammed in it between the bolt head and the brace and tightened it up :p Should still be alright, yeah?

so to make it fit all you needa do is just tap a hole and make a mounting bracket? too good to be true!!

Yeah i put the top bracket on, mine makes a cool noise on the motor way wouldn`t say its cute though :p

BB aslong as the surface was rust free and its still "trapped" under there should be fine, check it from time to time though.

You just need to bore that hole the bracket can be re-used

but in doing all this dso we then not start to mess about with throttle cables etc?

Just make sure you get the little ruber bit that hold the throttle cable when you buy the corolla mani, and its all good :p

Not sure whats gone on with what hes said.....in my opinion its 100% changed the car for the better i`d never change it back to standard.

Nope^ it wont....all you need is

rolla mani

top brace

nick a few nuts incase you lose some

the rubber bungy thing for the throttle cable to sit on

clean + spray it if you want

One more thing you need is a longer vaccum hose..one of the original hoses is too short (if I remember correctly its the one that goes from the Map Sensor to the inlet manifold)..A windscreen washer hose should be the right size, and you can cut it to length because they're really long! :p That's what I did anyway!

Oh and once you've got it fitted, unplug your ECU (its hidden behind the glovebox) for 10-15 mins then plug it back in, let it idle until the engine runs smooth then enjoy! :p
