Kennedy
Yes mate it does fit..a few people on here have done it to the N/AsI belive there is a performance gain from doing it, i dont know how much of a gain it will give though as ive not done it
Asad
Yup, made the car so much more driveable cruising on the motorway pulls really well and accelerates hard.Best engine mod ive done with the K+N panel filter at second
Guest Enzo
its a straight bolt on mate,it does have better flow properties over the standard fe manifold, you will notice that the car will rev alot more easily and will find youself bouncing off the limiter more,it also drasticaly changes the induction note. i have two for sale in my shop if your interested in any. Galliano
I noticed whilst just passenger in Bluebears Starlet, that it pulls well off the mark. And gives the car a cute little whine too, unless thats Nicks standardness

Asad
Straight on and off.....only thing which is different is the bottom bracket (can be thrown away = weight saving ftw) and the earth wire which needs to be bored out and bolted on.....no leaks, if your gasket breaks when taking the old mani off just use a light film of instant gasket as both surfaces wont be true (dont use the white crusty one if you put too much on it will break off and enter the engine)

Asad
What it is the earth lead has a hole for a 10mm bolt but the corolla mani accomodates a 12mm so the earth lead has to be bored out abit with a file and bolted on with a 12mm bolt....yup all stock air stuff goes back on
Bluebear
Try and get the top bracing from the rolla engine if you can. I put one on in place of the old one, as to be honest, it's silly to leave the mani completely unbraced, and the one that comes with the starlet doesnt match up.And Sam, you're the first person to say 'cute little whine' Asad, I kinda broke my earth lead doing that, the contacts snapped, so i just jammed in it between the bolt head and the brace and tightened it up Should still be alright, yeah? Asad
Yeah i put the top bracket on, mine makes a cool noise on the motor way wouldn`t say its cute though BB aslong as the surface was rust free and its still "trapped" under there should be fine, check it from time to time though. You just need to bore that hole the bracket can be re-used

Amjad
One more thing you need is a longer vaccum hose..one of the original hoses is too short (if I remember correctly its the one that goes from the Map Sensor to the inlet manifold)..A windscreen washer hose should be the right size, and you can cut it to length because they're really long! That's what I did anyway!Oh and once you've got it fitted, unplug your ECU (its hidden behind the glovebox) for 10-15 mins then plug it back in, let it idle until the engine runs smooth then enjoy!
