still looking for an engine..was just going to find any engine to get the car going then sell it and buy a glanza but thought..nuhhh il keep the gt :), so the hunt continues

ive got 2 possible engines...

smr recon bare engine under 30k new h/g bearings,rings (if needed changing) etc...

£700 + £130 delivery and my old engine (if not its an extra £150)

or

27k whole engine apart from gearbox and loom..so i could have some spares to posibly sell to make sum money back and i get to keep my engine to sell or to keep for a forge project :thumbsup:

or

do you think i could find a 2nd hand forged engine for arounf £800/900?

Or you could go the route i went and bought a crash damaged GT.

Engine ran a treat but had a front end crash that had damaged the chassis, radiator was bent but not leaking and there is a fine crack in the manifold. Thats it for engine damage.

Bought the car for £600, sold parts off of the car to the value of £450. Leaving me with engine, gearbox, V5, driveshafts, Manifolds, Turbo, Loom, Dump valve and everything needed for my project for the bargain price of £150!!!! Whoop whoop! Obviously it all depends if you have the room and time to do this though, and whats availiable???

I've said i can get you one well the block for £450 yes i no it isnt cheap but if i go there wiv the coin and slap him with a fish he would take £400 for it he,s offerd me the full glanza for £850 but there,s not much left on it and dont see the point but if you dont have the engine i might have it an get a n/a and make it a turbo lol

if i get the bottom end for say £400 gta pay for delivery wich would be a good £60/70 to where i stay then new head gasket £40/50 new head bolts £40 so it all adds up :/..thanks for all the help youve given me though :thumbsup:

lol ok no probs bud but if you get the block that means the topend aswell why would you have to do the head gasket? all you would need to do is put your gearbox on and your loom lol bobs ya uncle or ye and your turbo etc aswell lol

i thought when you said block you just ment the bottom end lol..

stil planing this 27k mile engine though :/...my engine will last a good while that way :thumbsup:

true lol the lower you get the better but lol im sure that engine i can get has low miles

awell it still has the clocks in it so i can find out for ya my mate got the turbo off it about 3week ago and the turbo was like new so that tells me the engine has low miles

as every ct9b/a ends up haveing cracks in the wasgate and the one my mate got from the scrap yard didnt

supos ther is no harm in cheeking the milage.. my manifold and my turbo both have cracks lol

i,ll check the milage for you then mate and take a pic of the clock,s so you can see for your salf aswell and i,ll see if i can get the manifold with it to if not I've got one for sale on here here pics lol
