200sx-Starlet-Jay
hi all, while chasing my dreams to become DK, (yes i know the plan was floored from the start being front wheel drive and all) but i had a couple of minor accidents.number one was turning into my road, gear 2 on tick over, so no more than 5 ish mph took the sharp left, then al of a sudden the back swung with no warning. so i steered into corner and pumped the breaks but there just wasnt enough space on the tight little road, and my front wheel smashed into a kerb. its realy badly scuffed the wheel and my tracking is a fucker now, steering wheel is on the piss lol! but the wheels still both face foward when driving. new wheels for me then number 2 was in halfords D1 circuit, after about an hours abuse, and letting it cool every now and then, i went out, did 1 lap then stopped next to my bro for about 20 seconds then pulled off again. did one big right hander then his mate came running out and shouted stop, so i imeadiatly stopped and was overtaken by a cloud of steam/smoke?! killed the engine straight away and was told car was pissing oil out. sure enough it was, and from what i could see by phone light, it was the turbo feed pipe. i think the metal elbow has snapped or cracked?! anyone know where i can get one from? need it asap to get me on the road! its on a gt spec hybrid so think its still an original spec part?!got pics of the hole ordeal so will whack em up later.. meanwhile.. Keri-WMS
.....then al of a sudden the back swung with no warning. so i steered into corner and pumped the breaksErm, if the back steps out in a front wheel drive car don't touch the brakes!!! You floor it (ignore the wheelspin) while turning the steering in the direction the back has just gone to try to get the front to "catch up" with the back and pull it straight.Over to Mr Plato to demonstrate (higher speed, same principle), keep your foot in!!!: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gPCGnkApnDU...92A217BD0097B4C.. meanwhile.. IM 21 TODAY W000PHappy Birthday! If you want to "drift" (in an ice/snow covered empty private closed carpark etc etc) in a FWD car start at 5mph, pull the handbrake up and leave it there, then steer slightly untill the back steps out, then apply light throttle and steer in the direction the back is trying to go (ie reverse the initial turn of the wheel)! Then spend hours seeing how far sideways you can be while driving in a straight line at 5-10mph. NOTE - any of the above in a RWD car = game over.
The_Notorious_C_A_T
that was real good to get it back after being 90 degrees like that!I call a mate dk, nothing to do with drifting though, Dope King, as he got his house raided by "the man" for drugs haha

So you weren't trying to drift at the time you mean?I miss RWD baaaaadly at the moment, in past I've had a Mk1 Escort, 2x Sierras (yuk), Capri (yellow!), MR2 etc.In the short term we may have a solution to the lack of icy carpark antics - my little brother just bought a 3.0TD 4x4 HiLux! Liam_D
Whoops bad times dude, youve broke it already I think you should get some Blue Slipstreams to be honest, like the ARTech CRX they look immense on a white car. Also let me know if you need your tracking setting to perfection
