Wire In Back Of Standard Air Box

I replaced my standard air box and had to remove some sort of electrical wire from the side, just wondered what im supposed to do with this now as

theres nowhere for it to plug into?

It's a sensor I believe, when I fitted my induction pipe, there was a hole to plug it into, I'd drill a hole and stick it in

It's an air temp sensor.

You have replaced the standard piping with new pipe I'm guessing? Just drill a hole in it and whack it in there.

i would say it is important as the car wouldn't be running 100% with out it.

use the rubber housing for the sensor out of standard air box and you'll be fine.
