SiCaln
I've been to Sharm, but i am a scuba diver so most the time i was under water, there isnt much else there its beach and a little strip of shops quite a poor country to so expect attention for money
Craig_N
I have never been personally but i know people who have been on the cruise down the river nile and said it was a really good trip so it might be worth it.
riko666
I don't see the sense in going to a far and away place like Egypt, just to go lay around on a commercialised beach region like Sharm El Sheikh that trades any semblance of traditional values, for the sake of bland corporate beach resorts - as much as I hate sight-seeing and touristy rubbish, I'd recommend you go to places like Luxor, Cairo and such; Cairo has a bustling night-life as well.

I've never been to Egypt (nor do I wish to), but living in Saudi Arabia all my life, its more of the same really to some extent - also, if you dive, dive; short of the Great Barrier Reef, you won't find any greater place than the Red Sea
jimmy77
coreal sea resort is very good thats in sharm not far from nama bay bout 20mins in a taxi. nama bay is ware all the night life is open air pacha, hard rock, tgi fridays, loads off bars and resturants, shops , casinos . realy livly place. but around the coreal sea resort they have just built a tgi fridays, hard rock, and a kfc. also there a night club on the beech about a 5 min walk usually have foam partys on selected nights. its a realy realy nice place but make sure you have all your jabs few months before to be safe. i didnt like the nile trip very much. takes absoultly ages to get to by air or coach and after all that travling the last thing you want to do is to go on some shitty boat lol. its a realy good holiday and make sure you go all inclusive
Starlet__SR
El Gouna, it's a resort in mainland egypt, not far away from Luxor, it's a private owned estate, very well controlled, nice and peaceful with some great hotels, definitely worth the money, sharm is far too busy and overpopulated. Not to mention the terrorist attacks associated with the areaDamien

pr1ince
goes to cairo its immense and luxor but watch out the rd are deadly they have no speed limit and it like mission impossible to cross them but its fun ;p goo on the boat cruise its pretty awesome i didn't want to go on it aswell but once you get on you don't want to leave you can sunbath on the top of the boat and also takes you to most parts of egypt as it stop along the way at diffrent places which is pretty cool also they have belly dancers and other fun stuff and a open bar if you drink and the boats are probably better then most hotels and the weathers amazing aswell it like sunshine all day long
Seb
we have just come back off honeymoon from egypt. We went a 'the red sea cruise' with thomson, on the thompson celebration and i would recommend it all day long. Ship was fantastic, daily excurtions (cost extra) and you get to see some of the main parts. The nile cruise is ok,( parents have been countless times) but the red sea cruise is what my parents said was best and they have been to egypt many many times. The museum is a waste of time unless you go for a day. We went on a day trip and had about 2 hours there, sa little amounts as it was overcrouded with people.Sharm el shek is a lovley place when you arrive, again some parts ok, but mostly a bomb site.we did quad biking from sharm to the bedwin tribes 'place' in the desert, that was also fantastic and well worth £40....a must !!Anyways, i wont waffle on Thompson celebration - red sea cruise is my vote.
