Thorpy
just wondering is a dump valve needed?i have an external wastegate now so my garage that fitted it removed my dump valve because he said its not needed now with the external wastegate is this true?or would i benifit from having both? ste91
I would avoid this garage in future. The wastegate is on the exhaust side, the blow off valve is on the intake side, they have nothing to do with eachother.
Idrees
A lot of people run without a BOV, but I wouldn't. Some say it will be fine, some say otherwise.Sounds cool without one though!

Thorpy
yeh does sound better but id rather be safe than bugger my turbo up so is it deffo a must then?
ste91
You wont bugger your turbo up just like that. But I'd put the BOV back on anyway. The bloke at this garage doesn't have a clue.

RobSR
You can run both a BOV and EWG together, the garage is talking poop IMO it'll be fine without the bov, afternall, a bit of boosted air ain't gonna bend metal.. Ok it may wear seals a bit quicker, but so does fitting a decat & people still fit em !
