Fmic Fitted Need Some Advice Plz!

today i fitted my fmic kit, now it drives and pulls fine but sound compleat different very loud whistle, bov's not as loud when dumping and its boosting at 5-6psi. with top mount it was up at 8-9.5psi does this sound about right or have i got a boost leak on one of the pipes.

i expected some boost loss due to a bigger intercooler core and more piping

It will be fine mate, when i fitted my fmic i was convinced for days it had a boost leak but its just the extra turbo / air moving noise you can hear.

You would know if you had a boost leak, it would clearly wistle.

Takes a few days to get used to.

No probs mate, i spent days altering my pipework convinced it was a leak.

You dont want to be making the same mistake and wasting time.

I had plans on spending tomorow tring to fix it lol is the boost drop about right too?

yeah there will be a boost drop, it's just the longer piping. nothing to worry about

Yeah boost drop seems right too, i lost just over .1 of a bar, nothing a few tweaks on the actultor wont solve.

Well i solved it it was leaking from the hotpipe to the next pipe thought it was tight last nite but when i checked in the light/day time today it had a big gap round the back of the pipe all seeled up now and boosting back at about 8psi without adjusting the actuator, also bumper cut up to allow for a snug fit i'll update my thread when i've taken pictures

Yea i would have suggested a leak tbh, was like that fitting mine. When i fitted the fmic the turbo was stupidly loud, Got some new clips and now the turbo's a lot quieter, about the same as when i had the tmic luke.
