lukEp Posted January 31, 2010 Share Posted January 31, 2010 today i fitted my fmic kit, now it drives and pulls fine but sound compleat different very loud whistle, bov's not as loud when dumping and its boosting at 5-6psi. with top mount it was up at 8-9.5psi does this sound about right or have i got a boost leak on one of the pipes.i expected some boost loss due to a bigger intercooler core and more pipingThanks Quote Link to post Share on other sites
DavidAshton Posted January 31, 2010 Share Posted January 31, 2010 It will be fine mate, when i fitted my fmic i was convinced for days it had a boost leak but its just the extra turbo / air moving noise you can hear. lukEp Posted February 1, 2010 Author Share Posted February 1, 2010 Well i solved it it was leaking from the hotpipe to the next pipe thought it was tight last nite but when i checked in the light/day time today it had a big gap round the back of the pipe all seeled up now and boosting back at about 8psi without adjusting the actuator, also bumper cut up to allow for a snug fit i'll update my thread when i've taken pictures Quote Link to post Share on other sites

When i fitted the fmic the turbo was stupidly loud, Got some new clips and now the turbo's a lot quieter, about the same as when i had the tmic luke.=] Quote Link to post Share on other sites
