Dan Evans
drill directly in the center of the stud and try to wind it out, failing that mate your going to have to keep drilling bits out at a time and get it re-tapped, is there enough for you to put a nut on it?? chr15_7_t_
tried puting a nut on it but it just comes off leavn the bolt inside..would i get away with weldn a nut onto the stud then takin it off?

200bhp starlet
drill it out mate and instead of retappin the hole use a heli-coil they are much stronger i used one on my bottom engine mount hope this helps mate
chr15_7_t_
ive never drilled one out before .....any tips? and i dont have a clue what a heli coil is?
200bhp starlet
right use a small drill bit to start with slowly drill it into the centre of the bolt then increase the size of the drill bit untill its out then a heli coil looks like a spring it goes into the hole you will need to reverse tap the hole then the new bolt will wind into it these are very strong once in and tight this is what they look like mate hope this has helped a little
chr15_7_t_
thanks for your help ..but instead of having to buy one of these though, think il try and get a shot of my mates tap set..
Lee_EP82
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mac-Tools-4...omotiveQ5fToolsIf you was near i have a stud puller set in my car.
durmz
dremel out, flatten the top and bottom of the stud, soak with wd40, lots of times, lots and lot and lots of time. then some more! then u want a pair of the beastiest mole grips u can get ure hands on and try and undo it with that, but a tip, dont just pull at it, push and pull, try and wiggle it ya know and eventually it will come out, worked for me on other snapped studs. BAZ2CRAZY
I used mole grips. Was a piece of piss.Mitch
chr15_7_t_
would heat and mole grips do the job?
durmz
ive never had much joy using heat, the trick is, if youve got a few days spare, just soak it in wd40 like 5 times a day for few days, go at it with mole grips, no probs
chr15_7_t_
dont have time to waste though:(
