Scott-EP
I think I'm just having a mad moment, But i've driven one and do really like them even though there pretty girly car's, But Sideways does seem tempting at the minute,But i don't want to sell the Starlet! Dam i wish i was able to have both What are your views on them ?
LukeSR
Hairdressers car
Starlet_Sam
Fecking awesome. Hence why I sold my GT for one. Currently under going major surgery to enhance it's performance with a K26.
ste91
Good car ruined by girly/hairdresser image.
Scott-EP
I know someone was going to say hairdressers car haha! But it's a cheap way into drifting that's how i look at it, You can pick one up for £1500-£2000 which is all i would look at spending as only going to use it learning to drift haha
LukeSR
Nah i was joking dude, they are great cars to learn to go sideways
Starlet_Sam
Mine was £500.Spent a few pennies since though. Will wipe the floor with a GT or Glanza round a track if you can drive though.
ste91
That's a mild achievement really.
Scott-EP
Don't get me wrong, IF i was older then 19 and could get decent insurance i would rather a S13 but as i said insurance is a no no lol And its becoming hard to get a clean one
Starlet_Sam
Well my old GT was quite good at handling, much better than standard anyway (it actually turned) but the MX5 is stupidly good. I know a guy in the BDC with one, he seems to rate it a fair bit for drifting but I can't say I've done much myself.

Scott-EP
1.8i Eunos Mx5 (import obviously)Fully comp.. £1095.85 just got a quote, Only £40 more then my GT lol
Starlet_Sam
I'd go for 1.6 personally. Better engine IMO.
Scott-EP
Can you easily get the rear out though with a 1.6i ??
Starlet_Sam
You can indeed.
Scott-EP
Fucking AWESOME cars... but IMHO NOT good drift cars!Too Short and snappy. For a learner I'd suggest an S13 to start with I really would prefer an s13 but insurance for me at 19 with 2 years ncb is around £1700, Don't really fancy spending that much, Also it's hard trieing to find a clean one for decent money, Infact i find it hard finding one in decent condition at all now days :harhar:
FarmboyUK
I'm looking at an MX5 on eBay right now. Hopefully mine in 2 days

Guest Enzo
that guy stays local to me,, one of the best handling cars of all time aparently.
scot-ish
i nearly bought a supercharged on whilst was waiting on a good starlet to pop up, and i would swap my starlet tomoz for a good mx5.to be fair, i dont think there that good to learn to drift, they are to snappy, its easier to learn to drift with a longer car.
