Galliano
Ooh, pics of a fellow Paseo are needed Not many in my area either now P140 was being sold by a foriegn chap who barely understood what I was saying on the phone. My uncle lives in ealing but warned us about tooting - outsiders with £700 cash is fairly dodgey. Kinda put me off the car and besides, it was pretty ropey with high miles. I believe the car was sold onto Kent or Ipswich, cant remember precisely but it was somewhere that side of the country. No offence to you being a resident there by the way, just stories I heard didn't make me feel good about us couple of country bumpkins wandering down with £700 in our pocket I believe all RHY Paseos (well.. P138, 140 etc) came from Brislington Park Bristol, a Toyota and Lexus dealership somewhere in central Bristol. Unfortunately they don't exhist any longer.. I wanted new numberplates with original bits on them, aswell as a tax disc holder and window sticker etc. Keep it all original.. Kinda like OEM+ (ish). I believe all those RHY brothers were job lot kitted with the lips and spoiler, all ST's too.
ShafzC
Yeah my areas not exactly safe! We have a CAT1 alarm and CCTV outside the house and someone still managed to try break into my starlet and toss a brick at my dads BMW..Shafz.

ShafzC
Wish I could.. but I'm 17 and I was born here so I'm used to dealing with it haha, And now with my new car going to be outside (starlets being given back to my mum as I fancied a change) I'm going to be so paranoid.. a lot of haters in this area too.Shafz. Galliano
I've been a busy bee lately with alot going on. Heres some outcomes :I have aquired some parts that are in better condition than some on my car already..Headlights have been replaced with a set that have been behind headlight protectors since 1996, thus haven't weathered and are immaculate - just being anal.Secondly a new centerconsole set as, god knows how, mine was scuffed quite badly - again, just anal but more understandable than the Firstly items.New sunroof shade as mine had some scuffs and tears. And when I put my new tax disc in, I couldn't line up Mikeys tax disc holder, so picked an authentic one up from the local Toyota Dealer - anal but authentic.Pinched an unused and totally immaculate spare wheel from my aunties Si. Nothing wrong with what I had but it was a steelie and I fancied an alloy. Looks smarter to look at A home made strutbrace, no need for a how to for this. Simple. Go to halfords. Buy bungie string tie thing, tie it in both hooks on either side. And mounted my ipod neatly with a couple of velcrow strips I found in the drawer. They actually held poorly so used the same stuff but with bigger strips and relocated it to a more convinient place, sits lovely in a different location to this.Painted some brackets/clips about the engine bay to tidy things up aestetically. And also replaced my passenger wingmirror due to a few scratches on my old one, but forgot to get pictures.. (it did take another paseo owner to show me that the sun roof came out as well)
Galliano
I got a spare in the garage if you want one? If your at JAE I can bring up most of the parts you need?
Ross Martyn
car look sweet mate! how hard it is to replace the boot badge bit as some pikey c*** snapped the toyota bit off and just left it on the floor.
Galliano
Not hard at all, just need to have a 10mm socket on an extented ratchet and its a doddle, its unclipping the metal rod from it that can be a pain. Its hooked in with an orangy/red plastic clip but if you lever it off with the flat head screw driver gently it unclips. Then swap the bootlock and clip those in (easier to clip it in when its not bolted down).Just be careful you don't drop the nuts from the lock though, because they will sail down your bootlid and you wont see them again, just rattle when you open/close it I didn't replace the barrel on mine, I just use the lever in the footwell. Just make sure the barrell of the next one is in the upright position. If it is going across, it makes access from the lever impossible.

Galliano
Time for an update. Some of you may have seen shots on my facebook with the car rolling on the original Si alloys that came on Zoes car, well they are now blue. I have had them on for about a month or so and now bought another set of wheels...All will be revealed as soon as I get paid and get some lower profile tyres for them. Galliano
Okay.. So heres the progress.I have been rolling on 3 (yes 3) blue 14" Griffin alloys (original Si alloys) due to one having a knackered valve on the tyre. I then got a screw in one of the blue ones so was time to get shifting on my BMW wheels. But they are too wide ;)So currently back on the 100+ Jets that were on it originally. Gonna get both blue tyres sorted and roll on all 4 of those for the time being.
