ade1964
Now I know this is going to sound really stupid, and should be really easy for you guys, but :-there are 2 pipes coming out of the bottom of the turbo, one has a steel tube that bolts to the oil filter area, where does the other one go to, it points directly towards the floor, and is about 19mm diameter.ThanksAde
ToyotaTech15
Itl be the oil feed and return for the turbo,Your right one bolts to the oil filter housing and the other one should have a 90 degree rubber hose to the sump for the oil returnIf it points to the ground then you must be missing the hose Gary
ade1964
But there's nothing on the sump to put a pipe toThanks
ToyotaTech15
If it's a turbo sump from a 4efte it should have a union welded into the sump.Have you used an 4efe or 5efe sump by any chance? What are you actually building?Gary
ade1964
I have just realized why there might be no sump pipe, when I bought the engine, there was no sump, I purchased one from ebay, wonder whether I got a standard starlet, and not the turbo one.Is that all this pipe does, return oil to the sump? Thanks again
