DavidAshton
My car is driving me insane, it has developed the most anoying creaking noise ever. Hopefully you can hear it in this vid, you may have to turn it up quite loud as it seems to have picked up more road noise than anything else, buts it the stupid clicking in the background and its super loud in the car.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EboZaosTYcUIts coming from the front left strut area, i have had the car up in the air and its not the wheel as it spins with no clicking, ive had the whole front end and arch off and its nothing under there. If i bounce the car it does start making the noise after a little while. So im guessing its the front strut / spring.Current suspension setup is trd shock, unknown lowering springs and cusco adjustable top mounts. Can anyone confirm before i start piling money into unesacery things?
series70boy
creaking sounds like bushes to me but i'm no mechanic!!!!!bushes aint that expensive but can make a car much more solid
gtmuzz
mines is clicking a wee bit like this but mines is the cv joint and no where near as loud! does it get faster the faster you drive or is it a constant noise??lol Is there anything in your glove box?? sounds daft but ive been asked to check the back end of a mondeo for noises and the guy had left golf balls in his boot haha
DavidAshton
^^The noise is not relevant to speed, it makes the same noise no matter how fast I go. Ive had the front end up in the air and nothing clicks when I spin the wheels, so its not CV / drive shaft related.Anyway Ive been told its probably the top mount that's worn and making the noise, cheapest thing to replace so going to srat there and see how it goes.
