Not sure what kind of performance the turbos give.

However, not trying to be mean or be a pain but I'm highly doubtful you'll be able to insure one as your first car. For me a non turbo Starlet is still pretty high insurance.

(How old are you though as that could make a difference?)

He may well be im 22 and im paying £1400 with 0yrs ncb, so its gonna probably be more than that

as far as performance u can go upto about 350bhp, there has been more, but the best reliable amount is around 200 at the wheels horse power because theyr front-wheel drive remember

Wow 1st car a turbo starlet, wicked stuff, wish my dad paid for my insurance lol. Just don't go crashing it and then you'll be ok.

Standard they be running around 133hp, but with a few bit of modding, you can surely get to 300hp like Si had comment on.

i really doubt you will get insured mate. try a few companies before you set your heart on one.

when i passed i tried to get insured on a 1.5 civic. £3500 tp.

a turbo starlet is gonna be more.
