miib14
hi, i wanted to know how hard would it be to turbo a corolla?would it be easier to turbo the 4efe or to drop a 4efte?roughly how much would it cost? need it as cheap as possible (bare in mind im a student lol)many thanks
Amjad
It would definitely be cheaper just to buy an fte rather than turbo your engine, that's for sure. Not sure on how much it'd cost though, I think someone on TGTT has an fte'd AE101!

miib14
If the blocks are the same (4EFE 4EFTE) would it make easier to swap all the internals, sump, clutch and g/box from the 4EFTE into the 4EFE

Guest Enzo
for ease the first one id say, would you be doing the work yourself?
Asad
Can go with either it's up to you, wiring and management are your deciding factors here all the metals the same in one way or another you'll need to have the car off the road for atleast 2-3 days for the wiring + engine work mabe more....as above who's dong the work? Have you thought about exhaust/intercooler?
miib14
me and my mates could do the engine bits but wiring is ..is it possible to put 4efte in but use emanage and a piggyback ecu system?was thinking of leaving is standard for the moment... with TMIC and custom exhaust...want it running 160bhp... Amjad
The only 3SGTE converted thing I've seen is on TGTT, in a GTTry asking Fensport? They've converted a Bug-eye to run a 3SGTE!If you were to go 4efte, I'd just buy the engine whole and get someone to sort the looms out for you. Greddy EMB or another piggyback won't do anything if the engine doesn't run lolOh and that 'Rolla is awesome!

Amjad
Dunno bro that was what was putting me off converting my N/A!I think it is quite a fiddly job tbh, try PMing Jay, he converted both Phil's & Joz's cars. Also I think Aze & Gaz@ Pukka offer a 4efte conversion service, you could ask them? They do Starlets, but I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard/different with a Corolla that shares the same engine?
