AaronW
right, i got my glanza going with my new engine and goes well but befor i commit by buying management and mapping it id like to know peoples opinion of the 'better' turbo to suit.i just want a fast road car, that will be used quite often on track also (knockhill)engine spec is;Wisco Low Compression Pistons 74.5mmScat H-Beam Forged ConrodsACL Bottom End Race Bearing Kit...Block Professionally Rebored and HonedZEP 1.2mm Head GasketPorted and Polished HeadHeavy Duty Valve Springs265deg Billet Cams with 8mm Liftturbo set up;zisco ram horn manifoldtong turbo's hybridblitz cast decati can get a vf23 off a mate, but been told they dont run much boost (1.2max??)or i was thinking maybe td05,or td04..due to the cams and not being mapped i dont get full boost till 5k just now anyway, only running 12psi.ideally id like full boost by 4-4.5k but once mapped im sure that wont be a problem.ive had a 294bhp/300lbs gt running a hybrid td04 at 1.6bar,..but 1.5bar is the most id like to run ideally.thanks in advance, aaron
5T4R7ET N/A
I wud go for the trusted td04/5 route. They get the job done and are readily available so finding a replacement wont be hard.
AaronW
yeh, that was one of my thoughts.ive had td04 on my gt advance, liked it alot. but ive never had cams before and think bigger turbo will be more fun.thinking ill get the vf23 just now but open to opinions .. Russleh
i remember readin in banzai a while ago about turbos for subarus etc with billet comp wheels and stuff offering more power etc. i dunno what turbos the newer models use but would be cool to get a td04 with billet bits

scot-ish
326bhp is nothing mate compared to what some of the Irish boys are pushing now. ECC seems to be miles ahead of everyone.
