anyone know what turbo a celica gt turbo runs. guy in town has just got a silver glanza which has one but he says its only making 205 odd brake which seems kinda low

hes no idea lol all he knows is its a celica gt turbo he doesnt even no what boost its running or what ecu management it runing

the celica gt4 uses a ct20b iirc

The Celica st205 uses the CT20b Turbo witch is commenly used to convert the ct9 to a ct9/20b hybrid

ahh cheers any ideas what sort of brake ud be looking at with supporting mods i was looking down the td04 but never herd the ct20 route lol

read that they are too big for the 1.3L and will not make any decent boost till quite high in the rev range

hmm guess it must be a hybrid then cause his seems to spool almost same as mine and he slowly pulls away

like mentioned st205's are a ct20b and the older ones are a ct26

ST205 uses the CT20, full boost at just over 3k so not massive revs needed.

I run mine at 1.1 bar and see 311bhp.

Not sure how one would fair on a Starlet though, might have to consider it as a possible project for next year

i ran a ct20/ct9 hybrid on my v couple of years back, it was good and spooled and pulled well very simlar to the gt spec tongs i replaced it with, id say on a good set up it would see the same as a tongs no more no less tbh
