madmax_926 Posted February 24, 2011 Share Posted February 24, 2011 HiIm running blitz active clutch + trd quickshiftI have been having problems shifting through the gears at high rpm on a quick gear change, So i changed my gear oil for millers fully synthetic 75 90.I now have a loud metal on metal scrappin sound if i do not pull away with a lot of gas (ie racing pull off) also the clutch itself really smelt to day strongly which it has never done (burning the clutch out). As well as this some times on gear change iin any gear after bringing the clutch up im gettin loud noise from the box.The thing the only problem i had before i changed oil was immensely stiff gear selection. Now i have weird noises of all shapes and forms.Really gettin fed up been to see a transmission specialist and he was baffled by it, he said changing the oil would possibly help.I have no oil on my drive but it would appear at sometime there may have been a very very small leak as i noticed oil residue at the bottom of the box.Plz could someone point me in the right direction of what can be done or who to take me car to, im in the south east thanksmax Quote Link to post Share on other sites

jezza Posted February 24, 2011 Share Posted February 24, 2011 Maybe not related but worth mentioning. My mate replaced his gearbox oil this week and had problems selecting gears after. Turned out he had forgot to put the washer back on the 17mm filler bolt. End of the bolt must have been fouling the selector inside. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
