ollie ryan
basically im currently running what i think can be quite a good turbo set up, i have a WEPR mani, decat and a hybrid turbo but the hybrid turbo is a heap of shit bascally and something is wrong, so am i best of getting another hybrid turbo as i like the quick spool up and have the mani and de-cat already, and if a hybrid which is the best hybrid to go for to get the most power at around 1.1bar, or am i best of going down the route of td04? i dont have massive amounts of money to spend on a turbo set up and dont have managment yet. im looking to run around 210-220bhp and still unsure of managment to run.so if you were in my position what would you do?i earn just under £200 a week but currently owe people around £1200 so whats your adivice guys?thanksollie
Stulet-GTT
Pay off the £1200 you owe then think about a new turbo...
ollie ryan
hyeah i no that but im unsure what turbo to go for once i pay off my debts
N80Jamie
I'd say get another hybrid turbo if you like the quick spool times. Also, i no the hybrid ct9's cost more than the td04 turbos but after you've bought everything else you need to run it, you would of spent a lot more than just the hybrid! Just my opinion though ;)
Stulet-GTT
hyeah i no that but im unsure what turbo to go for once i pay off my debtsThats the way, get clear then all ya cash is for car..I got a tongs hybrid gen2 i think thats what it is, it seems real good an no prob's with it...Do you know what hybrid you have??? might even be worth getting it re-coned then it will be like new. Ask some of the traders on hear that deal with turbo's for the price on a re-con for ya turbo...

Ryan
whats wrong with the turbo on the car now in what way is it shit?
ollie ryan
to run at one bar i have to wind the actuator as far in as it goes and wont bosst properly
DavidAshton
Get a stock ct9 and run it at high boost. Spools quicker than a hybrid and way more low end power.I much prefer my stock ct9 over the hybrid I had.
ollie ryan
when my hybrid was working well it was far better then a stock ct9
nazzurro19
if you wana get a td04 then just buy one of dean@rw ct - td adapters ive now brought a power up kit im guna run my ct9 in the ground while saving for an ultimate etc then as soon as ive got enough guna get an adapter and a td04 and run that off my power up kit
Guest Enzo
to run at one bar i have to wind the actuator as far in as it goes and wont bosst properlyhow old is your actuater?sounds like the route of your problem,
ollie ryan
brand new when i bought it about 7months ago and worked fine on my first turbo
Guest Enzo
ive had a hks actuater fail in shorter amount of time, id lay my blame on that being the problem, turbos usualy dont just offer less boost or iregular boost like that,if they hard a hard life they usualy smoke, then let go while usualy makeing boost. id like to hedge a bet that its the actuater as you said it was running fine before? ollie ryan
the hybrid has always had the actuator wound right in to run one bar, the trbo has had a hard live as it only cover 9,000km and the seals had gone and had to be replaced
