Turbo Timer not working???

I bought a turbo timer off another member. Today I have tried fitting it although I've never fitted one so could be me being a tool.

The turbo timer came with an ep82 harness. So there were 2 big white connectors (male and female) then two other wires 1 black which I think goes to the handbrake and one a pale yellow colour which I think must be the earth.

I have plugged the big white connectors in to the other connectors coming from the ignition barrel. I then thought I would turn it on as I thought it would at least power the turbo timer and it doesn't go on :S

Have I been sold a piece of kit that doesn't work? Or am I doing something wrong?

Black will be earth and yellow will be handbrake

Cheers dude but do these have to be wired up for it to turn on?

Black to earth yes defo yellow handbrake no you can leave this off but the car can be driven away if you don't wire it in.

Well yeah I would wire it in before I used it but what I was trying to determine was if it worked or not and it clearly doesn't

Well if you have put the black on the handbrake it won't work dude

id also disconnect and reconect the battery after fitting it, i used to get some problems with mine in my old starlet and that was how i fixed it before i ripped it out

Yeah I tried disconnecting and reconnecting the battery:( it definitely does not work:(

Huge waste of time and money.

If your certain it doesnt work get your money back off this other member. If he doesnt pay up seek legal action against him

a mate of mine is guna look at it later and check that I had it in right before I go asking for my money back
