Idrees
If thats brand new then i say yes. Any pics for me to have a nosey at? ;)
Tommy_G
hold on ill find one....im hoping its not to big the exit i mean. and its not stupidly loudthere you are mate
Blue Icarian Wings
Mine's a Remus it's stamped TTE on the exit, which is round and apart from that and the black paint it's exactly the same, fitting is relativity easy (theres a guide on-site), and you'll be glad to know it's a bit deeper, and not noisy at all
Idrees
Tommy i really think you should go to Powerflow instead. Get a nice 4" jap rear box, choose the noise level and pay a decent price!!
paul w
Powerflow are a bit of a rip off in my opinion,£160+ just for a backbox.
Idrees
;)Much cheaper than that, i got quoted £130 for a backbox!!Its worth a quote anyway Tommy!!
paul w
Powerflow also tried to charge me £300 for a cat back exhaust that was nothing more than a backbox with 18" of stainless steel pipe attached! Rip off merchants!Stay away in my opinion, yes they can do custom exhausts but there are others out there. The remus box is £110 and it'll take you half an hour to fit it yourself. ;)
Mikey Jay
What custom places would you recommend then?(sorry to hi-jack but can be of use to people to know)
lobotomy
Powerflow are also a franchise -- ie it depends which outlet you take your car to which determines the quality of work, the one up our way has a bad rep!
Mikey Jay
Anyone know if the Kent based Powerflow is any good?Think it's in Ashford.
Tommy_G
oh well its cheap and not lairy so im going for it, especially as suposedly they are 188 rrp.theres not a powerflow near me really, saying that theres one quite close, but i really want a tte looking like one. so if i do crash etc, it looks standard
SiCaln
i wasnt overly sold on the one in St. Albans
Mikey Jay
Where's St. Albans?
SiCaln
gotta 2nd that it was bloody quiet
paul w
Ehhh .............paul w ..i payed £320 for a cat back on the GT and it was fucking amazing, ok it wasnt a powerflow but was well worth the cash.2.5" straight through to a 3" backbox to a 4" tailpipe. To be honest i wouldnt pay £110 for a remus.....unless it was new There FAR too quiet, you say you want quiet but these things are near standard. I bought a TTE one for £40 and thats it just gone now (about4 months) the rear has collapsed where the pipe entered the backbox. ;) cat back please Also payed £280 for a 2.5" cat back on the civic. You get what you pay for remember The £300 was for a cat back that i needed urgently for my mot from powerflow for my GT4,powerflow pissed me around trying to charge me for a full exhaust that was just a back box! But like i said in my earlier post there are other custom fabricators out there,i will never be using poweflop again.
Idrees
Custom Pipes in Birmangham??The SR has that exhaust and its quality!
scutch0
i wasnt overly sold on the one in St. Albansthats where i got mine done! they built andrew semons (now adamans gt) system, and i inspected the system after they built mine and i have to admit i was pretty impressed. but i had already pre warned him that, "if i get it done here, i want it done properly!" ;) still, i think they did a great job.
