Hi there all, im a bit confused to which coolant i need in my car, i have always been told at motorfactors to use blue at about 50/50 mix. and always have used this with no problems at all.

But when looking on here people use red coolant? have i been making a big mistake?

Thanks!

I think it's called "Four Life" and it's red.

I think it's about £20 quid but it's good stuff, stops everything corroding ect to.

You cannot mix the two though

How come?

Surely they do the same job but are just different colours?

I was told only to use the Four life red stuff from toyota, apparently it is not alcohol based and better at reducing corrosion in the water ways! I got it from Toyota. Think it was around £20 for 5 litres.
