neilsmith Posted April 9, 2011 Share Posted April 9, 2011 Hi, im wondering what this black container thing is for?? its got a vacumme hose going into it from the inlet manifold.Also the soleniod that the vacumme hose goes into isnt connected and i have 2 bare wires, should this be connected and what are these wires for? lukEp Posted April 9, 2011 Share Posted April 9, 2011 No they don't check it on Mot, it to filter the petrol fumes from the fuel tank and the engine sucks the vapour in everynow and again it's just dead weight and is not working if when you open your fuel cap you can hear it suck air in which means it's blocked and vacuuming the tank Quote Link to post Share on other sites
