nutnut Posted April 11, 2011 Share Posted April 11, 2011 On my glanza I have the oil sensor in the original placeI have a sandwich plate fitted so I could install the oil gaugeThe problem I have is Drive normal with some boost the oil light won't come on which is fineDrive the car hard with lots of boost & the oil light will flicker when I stop !Also the oil level is bang on the max line .I'm using magnatec oil Thank you if you could help as I want to go to santa pod Easter weekend in the car & want it working good. nutnut Posted April 11, 2011 Author Share Posted April 11, 2011 it only flickers after very hard drivingwhich is what i cant work out.if it was earthing out it it would flicker after short bursts of boost !what psi should be reading on the gauge when sitting idle ? WallaceGlanza Posted April 14, 2011 Share Posted April 14, 2011 You've got low oil pressure when the cars been given a bootful as the oil will be hotter and thinner hence the pump won't be working as hard to pump the oil so less pressure.
