tez
hello Uksc membersbeen doing some research on mods for my standard glanza.I currently have a HKS exhaust & boost gauge.I Will also be buying a manifoldA HKS filterAnd a decat! Now im thinking about upping the boost! To ive been told 1 bar? 14 psi i think it is.So what other supporting mods will i need? Will I need a electronic boost controller and a hks actuator or either or?Will i need to port my wastegate & get a fmic? If i set to 1 barwill i also need a FCD and a FPR? or yet again either or?If so what can you recommend?I just want a reliable a fun car with using the standard Turbo!Dont want a big spec just a nice spec:)Thanks
string
you'll need a hks actuator and a boost controller. could always get a turbosmart boost tee for 50 pounds. rx7 intercooler or front mount. either plug n play ecu or emanage etc. could get away with rrfpr n fuel cut defender but personally i think a proper ecu upgrade is better. before a bar i'd get suspension n brakes sorted. lukEp
If you haven't got coilovers I'd get rear anti roll bar, better brakes and anti lift kit first, no point in going faster if you can't stop or go round corners.
tez
hellothanks!I have some coilovers on the way with some strut braces! just awaiting delivery, Hense moving onto engine mods. How do you set up the FCD and fpr? How much does this usuaully costHow much is a emange? guessing this needs to be mapped up.can you just run a HKS actuator set to a certain PSI? along with the FCD and fpr?Just trying to decide the best route! string
yes u can run hks set at a certain psi but i feel its better using a controller either manual or electronic so the actuator isn't working overtime. fpr etc need setting up on rolling road. gotta be 100 quid. emanage is like 500 fitted and mapped. StarletMad
Personally if your going for a nice subtle build get a plug n play ECU itll adapt all the time you do were as stand alone has to be mapped if you change stuff. If you go plug n play then you wont need FCD or RRFPR but would get RRFPR anyways and have it set up for about £40-60( Rememeber to buy a fuel rail adaptor also )WEPR/Zisco Mani + DecatFMIC Adjustable ActuatorManual/Electric Boost Controller1 Bar should see 160-180bhp
Amjad
^You don't need a RRFPR for Plug & Play And at 1 bar you'll most certainly see over 180bhp1.2 bar gives about 200-205bhp
tez
Didnt want to go ecu as its alot more money than i intend to spend! How do you set the FCD up? rolling road along with the RRFPR?Will any RRFPR do?My plans are toManifold & decatAdj ActuatorHDI boost controllerFCD & RRFPR Does the RRFPR just control the amount of fueling going through?cheers for the help lads
