Starbuck
Its been known for the little transformer pack to blow, which IIRC cannot be changed.I wired my own in. Are they deffo connected tightly to the plugs at the midway point on the wires?? Are the wires further down attached properly to the relevant 12v Lighting Switch and is the dimmer pad still there? Josh@TunerLifestyle
yehh the dimmer switch is still on, theres a black box with a ribbon band and two black wires coming out of it, is that the transformer?tbh i have no idea how its ment to be wired up so this is why i posted this up lol
Starbuck
If you didn't live so far you could pop over (well you're only 40mins away) and i could take a look at it for you and compare it against mine.Me and N80Jamie are putting my car back to my EWG setup tonight from about 8 (weather depending)..But Yes, that little black box is the transformer thingy. I will probably be going, but its not a definate.Mine is behind the clocks down the back and is around the area below the steering wheel, so its out of sight. No Idea why its on top of the dash..... Josh@TunerLifestyle
Just rememberd one wire from the box was wrapped wround a nut, and thr other was spliced onto a wire , cant remember wich one, is this correct? Or dose this loose wire have to go somewhere? You have a guide when you bought yours mate?
Starbuck
Mine came second hand. No instructions. I think tgtt had a diagram..... not sure. But one will be ground and the other 12v lighting circuit.
Josh@TunerLifestyle
bump! taken them out now, where the dials connect to the transformer there is a spare plug? is this correct? so 6 plugs from the transformer and 5 from the dials, am i missing something?
WallaceGlanza
Yeah, there's a spare plug on mine too. Most likely the transfomer has blown - I replaced mine and it has blown again already.
Josh@TunerLifestyle
where did you get the transformer from? got a link please?
WallaceGlanza
This is the guy that originally makes the dials:http://www.mygarage-glasgow.co.uk/pages/In...ndiglodials.htmPhone: 0141 416 1388 FAX: 0870 7064 251 Mobile: 0780 362 0018E-mail: sales@mygarage-glasgow.co.ukMSN: gary_yuen42@hotmail.comSkype: my-garage The transfomer cost £30 last year but as I say it's blown already with very little use....
