Matt1878
Well, as above, I hear so many things about a car taking its MOT when decat.Whats the deal with it? Will I have to keep swapping and changing it? or ive heard I only need to take the idle emissions test?I have a 97 Glanza on a P Reg.Also what is the best one for me? I have standard mani (for now) and a Nur Spec cat back exhaust system.Cheers
Bluebear
IIRC, all Glanzas are deemed eligible for the higher emissions test as well (3k revs?) due to them having been produced after 1995. Whereas all GT's with the exception of a few Mk3 Quadlights just have to do the basic idle emissions test. You can just put on a cat for MOT time, but I think there might be some legal ramifications if its found not to have one in the event of a crash or something, I'm not sure. Whitegv
Depends if you know the tester or they can be swayed with a.nice £20 note lol. at the end.of the day the test is only good at the time its taken. who's to say you didn't get home and.change it back to decat straight away

raffa_mk
why not go for a sports cat? i have a 200cell sports cat and that past the emissions test on the n/a, i think the 100cell cats are hit n miss on emmissions?
