number plate size, wat size have u got ?

i got pulled over friday nite by the traffic police for my number plate on the front being to small as the anpr camera couldnt pick it up. they gave me the dimensions it should be etc.. which was from the dvla. but i thought being a jap import u could have a smaller number plate is this true. wat size are u running. cheers

3/4 size rectangular plate has been fine for me, as well as 12x6 with smaller font
