Hello all,

My name is Jurriën and I'm from the Netherlands!

I've done some reading up here in the past and I thought this should be time to introduce myself.

About my car history, I started with a black 1.4iS Honda Civic which I had to break down and sell all the parts because it had been in a crash before. I didn't know that at the time when I bought it.

After that I wanted something more reliable and faster, so I bought a Civic, again.

This time it was an EK4, Europe's VTI. This one I bought bonestock and modded it till it suited my wishes.

So after the last MOT I wanted to make this a project Civic, rebuild the suspension and stuff, make it a trackday Civic.

But on the other hand, I wanted a Japanese import like a Skyline or Supra. It's just that they're so frikking expensive to keep (insurance, petrol)

Then a mate of mine pointed out a Glanza V and I fell in love almost instantly.

I think it will be cheaper to keep than the Civic and also it will use less fuel BUT will be as fast as the Civic or even faster.

So I did some readups and got me some base knowledge about a Glanza.

About 3 weeks ago I went to a Starlet meeting in Holland, there was 1 Glanza amongst the other starlets and I figuered that it really is a car which I can live with. Small, but fierce.

So I sold my Civic last weekend and a local import shop in Holland showed me a nice Glanza V, also the price was right.

So after 2 or 3 calls with them to make sure everything is ok with that Glanza I decided to buy it!

It's on it's way to the UK now as we speak and it should arrive there in about 3 weeks. Then a couple of days later it will be on Dutch soil! Can't wait ><

It's a white '98 (facelift) Glanza V which has some nice subtle mods already but it's engine is bonestock (I didn't want a build engine since I want to do that all by myself.)

I sadly can't say any more about the Glanza because I've sworn to myself to make it public when I actually have it sitting in front of my doorstep.

So you'll have to be patient but I think it rocks, already!

So this Glanza is going to be the project that the Civic would have been.

I've already started collecting parts to make about 180 hp @ 0.9 bar so I guess that's a good start.

Also a BC-racing suspension set is waiting for it and the RAYS wheels which were on the Civic will be put on the Glanza.

Guess that's all of it for now, I'll be reading some more projects here and hope to learn just a bit more!

Cheers,

Jurriën

Yeh, first one was a shame but on the other hand it was alot safer to get rid of it.

I think I can post one picture of the Glanza, won't reveal too much haha.

I've added it in the first post.

Update:

The car has reached uk shore and is waiting for it's reg plates.

Won't be long till it hits dutch soil now!

Also the collecting has continued;

-sard r2d2 bov

-greddy emanage blue

-gofastbits electronic boostcontroller

-apexi airfilter

-tial 38mm external wastegate

-aem wideband lambda

-stainless steel header

-255l/ph fuelpump

-ngk iridium grade7 sparkplugs

Also already equipped on the glanza:

-trd catback

-trd shortshifter+trd gearknob

-trd/defi Boost gauge

-wedsport tc05 wheels

-Recaro driverseat

-hks turbotimer

Still I need to collect some more things including:

-ct9 hybrid turbo

-frontmount intercooler kit

-sard fuelpressure regulator

-some more gauges for like oil temp, pressure etc.

-downpipe/decat

-aftermarket sparkleads

-330cc injectors

Also bought some stuff or maintenance when it arrives in Holland:

-toyota timing belt with pulleys

-ngk iridium grade5 sparkplugs

-fresh coolant pump

-oem airfilter

-fresh oil and oilfilter

I think that I can run a safe 0.9 bar for daily use with that setup.

The build will be done when all parts are collected, also it would be useless to Build now, with the winter coming up.

I guess it will be somewhere around next February!

So this was me again, reporting in!

Cheers,

Jurriën
