scoobykilla
Hi all, recently bought a 99 Glanza V and it sometimes crunches going into 3rd but only when the car is cold, its also a bit of a struggle to get into 5th sometimes. So i am thinking about replacing the gearbox, is the standard 99 Glanza V gearbox the same as that of a N/A starlet ??????? 5T4R7ET N/A
if you cant get hold of a 4EFTE gearbox then next best thing is a 5EFE paseo gearbox and finally if worst comes to worst a 4EFE gearbox.

Jamie1st
Who's running the N/A box? Are they weaker? And how do they find the gear ratios?
miib14
i had a N/A 5 speed box in mine and now i have a 6 speed N/A box...they are just as good as the turbo ones and shorter ratio but way better...id recommend getting a Corolla G6 box, its an awesome box
Starlet__SR
Who's running the N/A box? Are they weaker? And how do they find the gear ratios? They wont de any different in design or build quality, just different ratios as the N/A's have less power. A glanza with an N/A box would absolutely fly lol! Not sure of the clutch or flywheel is any differentD
miib14
you have to use the turbo flywheel and clutch but thats about it.... straight forward gearbox change...
