Had half an hour to spare tonight so went about fitting the tc short shifter I've had sitting for ages.

I fitted the shaft itself, but I'm left with 6 small silver shims, 2gold shims and 2 gold snap rings,

Where do these left over bits go?

Ill be back at it soon but couldn't think where they went,

Also it's on a ep91 if that makes a difference

Cheers

Yeh I've got 4 big silver shims which I thought were for the bottom of the selector but I still have 2 big snap rings, 6 small silver shims and another 2 gold pieces that look like they join with the snap rings?

Did you use all the parts that came with your kit or was their some left over?

I'll maybe have to get pictures to show what bits I have left.

Not fitted anything to the box cause the shifter is out of the car,

Had a feeling something had to go at the box as there was so much left over lol.

I'll keep the other bits until I fit the engine back in

Yeah the brass/gold pieces together with the snap rings/circlips are definately for the gearbox selctors to replace the rubber ones. Not sure on the other 6 shims though, however I definately used all the bits when I fitted my TC kit.

There is a guide on here somewhere I think, but may have been in the TC trading section which is obviously gone.

Got a pic tonight, obv I know where the 4 big silver spacers and where the brass bushes and circlips go,

But where do the 6 other shims go? Are they from this kit as I think they may have fallen in the box from something else??

The 2 brass bushes and c clips are the shifter bushes then!

One of the large bushes in each corner of the shifter with one small one on the top of the front 2! And the last 4 go on top one in each corner of the shifter!
