Starlet__SR Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 have fitted a baileys dumper but am now stuck with a hole where the standard one used to be any ideas or help as it's covered with duck tape ATM Leave the standard one in place lolD Quote
Lawless Posted October 3, 2011 Author Posted October 3, 2011 Do you mean remove the baileys and go back standard or leave it in place aswel as the other one the only thing is the standard one was hanging off before I fitted this Quote
Starbuck Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Laymens version is to glue and then silicone a 2pence piece or similar over the efi pipe hole. Quote
mattyD Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 or stick and glue a bolt in the hole mate, similar to the above but looks slightly prettier lol Quote
Lawless Posted October 3, 2011 Author Posted October 3, 2011 Cheers so a bOdge jobs the only way thers no sorta kit for this job ? Quote
Starbuck Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Someone on here or tgtt machined a plug to fit the hole if u want to go that far. But even a coin is a step up from tape......now that's a bodge. Lol Quote
Lawless Posted October 3, 2011 Author Posted October 3, 2011 Cool nah I think ill try the coin then be a step up as you said thanks foe the info tryin to get a pic of me motor up on here but can't seem to do it on I phone ? Quote
nazzurro19 Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 i have a bung you can have £7 posted and including feescan be used with or without the tubewill come with the hose an clips etc Quote
Lukew360 Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 You just leave the standard recirculating dump valve on the efi pipe, that will cover the hole. Just take the Vac line off which goes to the manifold to stop it opening Quote
neilsmith Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 I would take the standard efi pipe off and relocate the air filter to the front bumper, that will be the best thing to do and then its getting a perfect cold air feed aswell Quote
Starlet__SR Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 As said above, leave the standard bov in the efi pipe, disconnect the vacuum hose to connect to baileys, I had this issue till I fitted a relocation kitD Quote
Lawless Posted October 4, 2011 Author Posted October 4, 2011 Ryan33hks that's exactly what I mean is that just the bottom part of the standard dumper? Quote
Lawless Posted October 4, 2011 Author Posted October 4, 2011 How would using the bung work Im new to all this so sorry if seem slightly retarded lol Quote
ryan33hks Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 I had to make it myself mate. Wasn't too difficult, just used a piece of metal plate i had kicking about. If you do make something for yours then make sure its nice and thick as the first plate i made was lifting off due to the pressure. Give me a pm if you need any more info Quote
Lukew360 Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 That bung nazzuro has for sale will be your easiest and quickest option if you want to block that hole. Quote
bucketep91 Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 no it wouldnt. that bung is for blocking off the pipe for the dump valve on the intercooler pipe work. that wouldnt attatch to the hole on the efi pipe.i glued a 50p on mines and never had a problem. The best thing to do is to relocate the filter and do away with the efi pipe tho. Quote
Lukew360 Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 Well in that case leave the standard dump valve in place like I said about 10 posts ago? Disconnecting the vac line to it will prevent it from opening. I ran mine like this for months Quote
Lawless Posted October 7, 2011 Author Posted October 7, 2011 I can't leave that standard one on it rotted away from the efi pipe or cracked or somthing was ganging off wen got the car I think ima go with the 50 pence piece over the whole or Ryanhks idea were does that pipe go to from the hole is that were the breather filter should be ?
