sam2kk8
Just a quick question as im curious about it...Ive got a Sard Fuel Regulator Set at 3.1bar and im running 1bar on a ct9 with Decat and Blitz Nur Spec Exhaust system. Havent got uprated fuel pump or anything and it just gurgles with small pops...When people say its banging from being too rich...is this just the case of turning the FPR up too say 3.5bar?If This is the case then how do people without RRFPR's Make them pop/Flame ECT..? Just something ive been thinking about And just intersted too know! Thanks
nazzurro19
well when you get it mapped you can make it overfuel etc and then you will get ya pops n bangs
miib14
also can be done my messing with timing... can be done by using launch controllers too iirc

lukEp
Could be burn exhaust valves making them not close properly. Which lets air and unburnt fuel in the exhaust

Josh@TunerLifestyle
sorry to spam this thread but is it bad to overfuel slightly?

sam2kk8
dont think it works like that...I was just assuming if for what reason i wasnt stating but i suppose its different with every car but cant understand it :S
lukEp
It is bad to over fuel as it causes bore wash, which basically means the excess fuel washes the oil away which makes the rings/pistons/boar wear quicker.
nazzurro19
stick a spark plug in ya exhaust

RobSR
sorry to spam this thread but is it bad to overfuel slightly?not atal on a turbo equipped car (to a certain extent) as fuel is used to keep the combustion chambers cool, which is why turbos run alot richer than non turbos, due to the increased heat Like said tho, if its too rich youll get bore wash, and petrol sitting in the sump, which starts eating away at the bearings - not good!anywhere from low 10's to 12.0:1 on WOT for a turbo motor is fine..optimum is around 11.8 N/a is about 13.0:1 on WOT
