can someone please explain exactly how it works please? :p

i understand what it is and stuff but would quite like to know the technical/mechanical side of what's involved, and how the ecu knows to limit the revs? this might sounds like a daft question to some people but any info is appreciated :) and i'm only asking out of curiosity lol :p

cheers!

Usually there is a switch to activate the launch. Usually using the switch in the handbrake.

In most applications, it's only an auxiliary rpm limiter, lets say 4500rpm. You activate by pulling the e-brake and keep the throttle at 100%. The car holds 4500, but building boost.

In a FWD car, IMHO its pointless, in fact! It's pointless in any car unless, it's for rally or drag racing. Anti-lag is where the serious fun begins.

what ecu would be best for me to run antilag on my gt? will jist be a toy anyway :)

have a look at omex or a motec or something on those lines, but i am not sure it worth the hassle of setting it up tho for the gains you would see,

Anti- lag over launch control bigger difference on the road and u have it set to a switch so u can use it as an when required like tunnels :) ha ha

Set up with a arming switch and an activation switch on the clutch peddle. Run launch control and flat foot shifting that way :) when it's activated the ecu pulls the timing back and wont let the engine rev past set values.
