what rear brake disks and pads

need to get some rear disks and pads i have an ep82 running 270bhp , currently have these at the front

but unsure what brake pads back brakes are wearing unevenly so time to get some new ones i think any views on best ones to get?

just get standard disks and pads on the back mate the rear brakes only account for about 15% of the overall braking.

i suggest new calipers on the front mate if your running 270hp, the standard single pots will just not cut it!

lol, surely you cant be running 270hp with standard calipers? if i were you i would invest in some better ones i.e wilwoods, wms, ksports etc

but if not and you wana risk it on upgraded discs and pads then mintex or yellow stuff

you must either be nuts or dont live near any corners . i only run ~240 and soon as i took it out for a spirted drive i came straight home and ordered a set of wms's worth every penny the stock calipers are shit at best

yeh mate, standard discs/pads on the rear

then on the front, you can run grooved discs and uprated pads but if your running that much bhp then get rid of the standard calipers and upgrade WMS are a trader on here bud, try and contact him for prices etc

as i cant really afford to be spending 450 on set of brakes right now i want to get some brakes for now and then get some decent brakes im either thinking keeping my front disks which is these but with some yellow pads

keep the grooved discs you have now mate for the time being and get either some mintex 1144 or ebc yellow stuff pads for the front and as said already, there is no need to get much for the back as they dont contribute to much of the breaking so standard disc/pads will suffice

but ideally, if you are running that much power, you need better calipers

you recon the grooved ones i have allready are better then the brembo ones of ebay when you say caliper do you just literally mean caliper what hold brake pads?

those brembo discs are basically standard so yeh the grooved ones are better

And yeh the caliper as in the whole thing that holds the pads

There a a few mate, there are also links to wms calipers i put higher up in the thread! there are also wilwoods but i cant get onto the site for some reason :S oh and bear in mind, a majority of the calipers are huge and will not fit behind a few wheels so either spacers or a new set of rims would be required

some of the kits are also soooooooooo expensive lol

I'll think you'll find its about 60-40

As said above bigger brake are needed. but also Decent tyres.

yes i realised they are rather expensive haha !! think ill be getting some 1144 pads or some yellow pads and then have to do some saving ! i got decent tyres all around got toyo proxes

was just talking to a mate and he said about getting standard brakes of a bigger car could save me some cash and so the same thing? What brakes could i use off another car maybe a gt4 or mr2?
