abbott
Right this is for help on my brothers car recently we have forged the car and when everything was put in and started it and took it for its 1st drive the exedy paddle clutch had a rattle and ah=nd struggled to get in to gear so ended up pulling the box off and finding the exedy padel centre core has fell apart so that was £300 down the drain (this clutch was fine before we forged and took apart) so we ordered a 6 puk spec clutch from tuning developments and now fiited this 250 miles down the road he is having issues with geting in to 1st and 2nd gear going up and down the gears ( you really have to force it in to gear but its not grinding it in to gear)., 3rd,4th, 5th are fine.things we have tried1) bled the clutch hyro system 2) checked and rotated sugar cube3) gear box oil level checked4) inspected slave cylinder5) checked cablesspoke to friends and are only thing we can think of now is the sycro 1st and 2nd.can any one advice on anything else we may have over looked
00joeindastarb0
Have you double checked linkages? and has the slave cylinder rod got enough travel to fully disengage the clutch?

madmax_926
i have a similar issues with my gearbox its frustrating as its a low mileage box nothing grinds into gear but is also as described above much stiffer gear selection 1st to 2nd quickshifts are impossible and quickshifting from 1st to 2nd has a delay like you have to wait for it to clear? i will add it will select all gears perfectly when driving sensibly its only when going mach 10 that i have any issuesi havezep clutch lineblitz active clutchtrd quick shift. i took mine to a gearbox specialist and left the car with him and he said the gearbox was in good condition and checked all linkages and what not and found nothing wrong? the gear oil has been changed which made me notice a slight positive improvement.the guy also agreed that the selection was too stiff.hopefully someone can help us get to the bottom of this? jayc-glanza17
abbott, i had an issue like this except was when selectiing 3rd, eventually i lost 3rd..syncrose were wearing but were fine.. it was a bolt inside the selector in the gearbox that had snapped..so you may have a similar issue.. Johnboy GT
This might be a long shot, I see Max has a quickshift on his, does your brother have one aswell? As when i fitted mine although i was provided with spacers it was really tricky to get into gear, turned out the lever was still catching on the tunnel. So i just battered the tunnel down out of the road a bit and it worked fine?May be worth a look dude?John
abbott
Yes it is a trd quickshift mate and i have checked operation and changed back to a standard one and still the same
