Filter relocation = Fuel cut ????

Thinking about relocating the air filter to the front bumper, i currently run a de-cat pipe and nur spec exhaust and a rx-7 top mount, will this cause fuel cut as i dont have an FCD or aftermarket ECU ???

any breathing mod will bring you closer to fuel cut mate

some people are unlucky enough to get it with just 1 of the 4

Awryt cheers TrisK looks lyk al just have to get a decent aftermarket ECU if am going to let the motor breath any better

That or a fuel cut defender ... Until u upgrade the turbo it'll keep costs down

They are about 50 quid, and are 4 wires to fit.

but they arent safe or a good idea really.

it is the cheap way to do it, but an ecu is 500/600 quid. which is cheaper than a rebuild

And don't just fit an FCD on its own, otherwise you'll be running lean.

Hmm ok, well am going to be wanting more power out the V soon so think i will just go for a new ECU better start saving the pennies lol

Fcd are perfectly safe to use you just need to get it set up on a rolling road. I run a turbo smart fcd with turbo smart mbc set at a bar , fmic and relocated air filer. 189Bhp and the fueling is spot on.
