lew777
Try the little rubber bit that your door shuts on to it might be jammed

Ste B
Happened my gt turbo and my uncles glanza. The contacts become corroded and don't create a circuit properly. Unscrew your light, disconnect the litte clip carrying the power. Get some sandpaper and rub it under the contacts. You'll see where the arm makes contact with the bits of metal and know where to rub it down. I fixed 2 sets of starlet lights doing this. You'll know if it's the courtesy switches causing a problem, because the door symbol won't come up on the dash, and the car won't beep if you leave the lights on and open the door with the ignition off. But watch if you take the wire out connecting it.. It is VERY short and hard to get back in if you take it out!
metalmickey0
Mine did this too but i found it was the contact ball bearing thing in the light unit itself had coroded a bit , and sandpaper sorted it.I also now got one of those led panel sets in it . A lot brighter that the standard bulb.
