Flaminsam
I've just taken my friends scooby sti for MOT and it had a Vf34 on it. Goes well and has minimal lag. That's on a 2l engine though. :/
Whitegv
I've got a 5e with a vf35 and tbh i wouldn't want that turbo on a 1.3. Its fairly laggy compared to a td04. I think you'll be better off staying 04 because the power will be more useable. either that or go for a gt30 or something
jakeep82
oh right dont want nothing too laggy so will probably stay away from that then what sort of size is a gt30 in comparision to a td04 ? and what sort of rpm what you hit full boost on a gt30?
Socks
Take a close look at these turbo kits:http://www.race-tech.net/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_5&products_id=82Spools better then a td04 yet can produce 350bhp!Similar to what Id run and I love it!
AdamB
GT30 is about twice the size of a td04 lol.I would try one of the kits Socks has posted, atleast try newer technology, dual ball bearing FTW
jakeep82
would a gt28 swap straight over to a td04 kit or would the flanges be different ?
Burny
Different
mattyD
a gt28 is a whole different ball game mate, but if you want more power with minimal lag as said, dual ballbearing FTW
pick1
If u have the money mate IMO gt28 ftw minimal lag maximum power garret are awsome Edited May 21, 2012 by pick1
Socks
would a gt28 swap straight over to a td04 kit or would the flanges be different ?most of garrets blowers r vband or t3 flanged...
Flaminsam
Or t2 flanged like the t28, t25 etc. The t3 flanges are on t30 etc. I wouldn't mind a gt2560 on mine in time. Quick spool and can hold 1.5bar nicely.
jakeep82
hmmmm maybe something for the future to consider think ill stick td04 for the minute and see what i can get from it !! cheers for ya help !
