StuDoc 72 Posted October 25, 2012 Author Posted October 25, 2012 Looks kl any new pics? The pics in the thread of my beardies are old ones. If you look at the one with the 2 vivs ull see in the bottom tank the male 1 is much bigger now hes not far off 2ft and is a little tank. Quote
melon Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 7ft by 4ft table, so she's not in the best scale haDidnt know they grew that big Time for an expensive tank upgrade? Haha Quote
StuDoc 72 Posted October 25, 2012 Author Posted October 25, 2012 Aye can expect beardies to grow upto 30 inches in some cases i believe so 22 atm so not that big. He lives in a 36 inch viv so hes kl thats plenty for him. But thats some size of table lol. Quote
melon Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 ! Wish i'd got a lizard instead of her sometimes... get some really odd looks walking down the street picking dandelions and weeds for her everyday lol monster construction haha Quote
StuDoc 72 Posted October 25, 2012 Author Posted October 25, 2012 Do you feed her veg from the streets your brave lol. I buy chopped salad from asda and feed that to them haha. Quote
melon Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 Ha no only joking. Stuff from the garden when I find a dog pee free patch and romaine lettuce from supermarket. What salad do you buy? I need to vary her grub more Quote
StuDoc 72 Posted October 25, 2012 Author Posted October 25, 2012 Yeah I was gna say to steer well clear of any weed grown outwith your own garden as you dont know the contaminents. You should also in fairness avoid lettuce as it offer pretty much NO nutritional value what so ever.I use a ready chopped ranch salad from asda its £1 has like breadcrumbs and a dressing in a sachet which are obv quickly disposed of in the bin and then the salas is mad of things like bean sprouts cabbage carrots red onion stuff like that. Quote
melon Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 She just has a bit of romaine with a cherry tom every so often for a mix up- its the only lettuce she can eat.Aw damn, she can't eat any of that... most awkward pet to feed easily ever! Quote
melon Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 Carrots, bean sprouts etc are really high in carbs and protein and would make her grow too quickly and her shell would be distorted, weak and painful Quote
StuDoc 72 Posted October 25, 2012 Author Posted October 25, 2012 Awww I see lol well then lettuce is right for her then low nutrition high in fluids. Opposite of my lizards lol. Quote

RandomDan Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 (edited) How's the scorpion do? Quite fancy one!Honestly they dont seem to live long, the desert ones atleast anyway.I think because they need to be so dry natural humidity in this country is enough to kill them.I dont hear many problems with forest dwellers though but they just dig holes and disapear but they are cool when they do come out!The guy in the picture is a dune scorpion and only about 1.5-2 inchs across and fully grown! RandomDan Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 You removed the sting? No, that is otherwise known as mutilation. They use it to kill their prey and they are not a pet to be held.Sounds a bit like a parent telling naughty child but you get the idea xD Quote
