JTStarlet92
Just wondering if adding the same mods to a 5efe would produce similar gains to the 4efe? Also what's the most BHP you can squeeze out of an N/A 5efe?
Amjad
It should give similar gains I'm guessing yeah. An exhaust and Corolla inlet mani should see you with approx 95bhp 99FtLb
PaulStarletSR
do the usual....decatted stainless exhaust,induction,4 to 1 mani, bigger injectors, rolla inlet, lightend flywheel and a remap and i dont c y u shudnt very easily see over 130bhp minimum
morgey
Id say you might manage 130hp with 5efhe cams and maybe a thinner headgasket aswel as the above mentioned mods, n/a tunings expensive for relitively little gains. Not sure what a 5efe starts life as but if a 5efhe is 110hp? Then i would have thought 130 from a lower comp engine with milder cams would be quite hard to manage imo ;)
JTStarlet92
Thanks for the advice, im gonna struggle to source 5efhe cams but the rest is easy enough I'd say! Thinking of getting a obx mani, anyone had any experience with these?
morgey
Yea thats the biggest problem, im sure with the money u could get 150hp + but that would be silly £££and i have an obx 4age manifold on my car, tbh its actually pretty decent, i had to make a spacer plate to get the height as it was really close to the sump and i also opened up the ports on the flanges a they wernt matched an were causing restrictions but it was £90 brand new so im not suprised they didnt open the ports up to match the pipework for that price, its now 3years old and never had a problem with it!
