Delayed fuel pump priming

Recommended Posts

My fuel pump only works after 3 sessions of crank start up. Car has 220,000kms.

1. I checked the efi relay, its fine.

2. Fuel pressure is not maintained overnight. The sard fpr shows 0psi. (fuel pump leak).

3. Engine will not start because its not building fuel pressure when cranking, initially etc.

When i get the car started and i switch it off, the pump primes as normal with the dash lights on red. Could it be a frozen fuel pump when cold (overnight).

Is the fuel pump starting to cark itself.
