Guest Enzo Posted November 21, 2005 Share Posted November 21, 2005 yea i have had a six speed box for well over two years nowproblem is i sourced it from the wrong model.mine came from the latter g6r (4AFE)so im gona have to crack it open and use a 4e fe belhousing to make it work. whilst im at it im gona get a decent diff and lightened flwheelthe one your looking for came from the earlier bug eyed ee111 corolla sr and g6.problem is though the c160 gear ratios are six closely stacked ratios and six is shorter than your current fith so you wouldent realy save any fual consumption if you were looking to use sixth as an overdriveto do what you intend you would have to use your ucrrent final drive (3.7)to lengthen all the gears..this would also have a knock on effect of increasing your top speed but also blunting your aceleration.hope that helped Quote Link to post Share on other sites
