Socks Posted August 17, 2012 Share Posted August 17, 2012 The wastegate regulates the amount of boost the engine makes use off...Excess gases are vented either down the exhaust system, or down a screamer pipe... Or the system would just boost to 1000bar....Screamer pipes get there name from the noise they make example: (skip to 15secs)[media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRrlGLWtSQcSound like jets, rockets...
