oh :( its letting in water from somewhere then. by passed the coolant to the tb totally to check it wasnt getting in at the tb, but still getting lots of steam from exhaust.

no but i didnt run it for long. you can smell the coolant in the exhaust gases at the back. whether its still going in the block or not is the thing thats worrying me. i'll get some now, what do you want to see? thanks for the advice by the way guys :friends:

hmmm not a clue then bud :/ lol

undo the inlet mani bolts and make sure there isnt a water jacket on there, i dont think there is, but just to be on the safe side.

i know when i 1st did mine many moons ago, i put the inlet manifold gasket on backwards meaning it could leak a bit of air in

did it make it smoke white? theres a fair bit of water forming in the bottom of the backbox on the tip but is this not normal? bit of black in the water too, just soot isnt it?

Posted

no it never smoked, probably just condensation in the backbox

but if you have put it on wrong and there is a water jacket, it wont be sealing tidy, so just check that

no wot id do? take it up a B road and kick its cunt in, then go home n see what shes like then.give it a good clear out ;-)

im feeling that way a bit.

could be a head gasket i spose?
